For the women in high risk area of the world (impoverished of developed and developing nations), Rising International purchases crafts at a living wage. They work with them to understand products that are indigenous to the area and create high quality products that can be sold by a network of women through their homes. Rising International currently focuses on working with women in the highest risk situations such as those in refugee camps, those with HIV/AIDS, homeless women, displaced immigrants, former slaves or those in war-torn regions.
By training and providing ongoing support to women, professional and low-income, here in the United States, Rising International gives them the opportunity to run their own home based business. These women earn an income from the sales of the crafts~
